Kolkata become the first WiFi Metro
city in India. Mamata Banerjee, honorable chief Minister of West Bengal
inaugurated Wifi felicity in Kolkata on 5th February powered by Reliance Jio.
Kolkata become the first city in India having WiFi at the speed of 4G as per
they claim. In its first phase WiFi service is available at Park Street and its
surroundings. On the vacation of Kolkata Book Fair its also available in Milan
Mala such that people get connected while enjoying Kolkata Book Fair.
It is targeted to bring all the
wards of Kolkata Municipal Corporation under the WiFi network by April 15th ,
2015. On its next month this service will be available in Salt Lake area.
The good news about Reliance Jio
Kolkata WiFi service is its free now, but there will some price restriction
though its not reviled.
So till that you can enjoy free Wifi

Step 2: Now connect to Jionet, it will take few second to connect.
Step 3: As soon as connected with Jionet it will automatically open your browser else you need to open browser
Step 4: Open any web page, you will be redirected Jioconnect page or manually open http://wifi.jioconnect.com
Step 5: Now you need to sign up for Jionet for the first time use, so tap on “New to Join”
Step 6: Just enter your valid mobile number and click “Get Started”
Step 7: You will receive a SMS having the access code on your mobile
Step 8: Again go to wifi.jioconnect.com and tap Sign In then enter your mobile number and password or access code that you get via SMS to sign in.
Now you are connected with Kolkata
Wifi powered by Reliance Jio.
If you are using Laptop then you can
connect to Kolkata Wifi Reliance Jio via the same method. All you need a valid
mobile number to sign up and get the access password.
